Indo Chinese is a cuisine in itself here in India and chilli paneer is definitely one of the yummiest dishes. Often used as a starter in various occasions chilli paneer can be made both dry or with gravy. I usually like to make it semi dry that can also be eaten with rice or noodles. A change in our daily routine is always welcome! 😉

Hands down one of the tastiest and yummiest fast food dishes in India.. Pav bhaaji 100 percent stands out for me. Made with tons of mashed vegetables and a whole lot of goodness from Indian masalas, this scrumptious meal sprinkled with some lemon and diced onions is bound to make anyone mouth to water!⁣

Food for thought:

Whether it is our professional life or personal, I truly believe that it is extremely important to celebrate our small day to day victories. It’s these tricky moments that help self-motivate us, isn’t it? Moments where we felt we perhaps cannot do a certain task or question our capabilities. Right then, when we thought we couldn’t do it, something magical happens and we find the strength to push ourselves and succeed. There isn’t an audience that is standing and applauding those efforts, these moments we conquer don’t need external validation. Those moments are just ours to cherish.

While running this business I have had several of these moments. I must admit, I am not the healthiest at the moment and I have had extremely low days. But waking up and walking into that kitchen and getting the opportunity to cook for my customers everyday has been my victory. It’s the strength in me that I absolutely admire about myself and I have promised myself to never stop and always…always…keep celebrating my victories because its these magical moments that we create for ourselves that help us keep going! 😊

Happiness is homemade! This line always brings this warm fuzzy feeling within me. It takes me back to my mother’s house in Faridabad. The house till today has that old world charm! Courtyard in the middle of the house with a huge Guvava tree in the centre. Growing up I saw my mother make rotis in our home tandoor which she served us with delicious homemade white makhan (butter) and mango pickle (that my siblings and I used to collect from a mango tree nearby). Watching her, I learnt that long cooking processes brought out the best taste in food. I remember savouring every bite of my homemade meals. ⁣

In this entire process of preparation, I never realised the effort it took to feed your entire family, and in those days one didn’t even have house help like we do now. But she made it look effortless. I think I now know what drove her. Today when I see my family enjoying what I cook for them, and I watch glimpses of that young seema who loved her ‘mom’s cooking’ in my daughters’ faces, it all becomes worth it! Happiness truly is homemade!⁣

Methi chicken is one of the most flavorful, delicious & simple dish made by simmering chicken in moderately spicy masala along with fenugreek leaves aka methi. It goes well with plain rice, roti, NAAN or with PARATHA.
