Presence in the Midst of Absence.
One of those moments that makes everything around you stand still.
In the months leading up to their wedding, Riya and Vidit often spoke about the people who had shaped their lives but wouldn't be physically present to celebrate with them.
For Vidit, that absence was his Dada.
Before the festivities began, Riya surprised him with a small locket carrying his grandfather's photograph.
We watched Vidit's expression change to a kind of emotion that's impossible to put into words.
A few tears, a lot of love, and one simple request:
"Can you put it on for me?"
And just like that, Dada was there.
