Young Asifa was only 8 years old. She was r***d and murdered by people who wanted to threaten and scare her community . A protest rally was brought out in support of the accused .
A man died this week in police custody after accusing a politician from the ruling Bharatiya Janta Party in Uttar Pradesh state of the abduction and r**e of his 16-year-old daughter nine months ago. While these are just two cases that have come forward there are yet many unnamed victims out there who have undergone the same fate. We are living in the worst of times. R**e as always is being used as a tool to instil fear in someone or to threaten a community. We are living in dark times.
The ray of hope came in form of public outrage when people transversing the boundaries of religion , class ,political ideologies came together to fight for the victim , for justice.
Even in these hostile times , inncocence breeds. Let it be our responsibility that these kids are not stripped of it. Let us come together each time any group tries to victimise our children. Let us get ready to fight everytime something like this happens. With this determination we are going to start this new year.

With the advent of this New Year, we the members of Penta-Prism and 'We for Change' are happy to announce our collaboration. 'We for Change' aimed at bringing a change in society by changing the way people think. Our ideas are not established thoughts but views of a few young people who are trying to raise their voices against things that they've noticed are problematic in the society. It is our thoughts and ideas the constitute the views of the society. That is why before we move on to bring big changes , we must make small ones in our day to day lives and in the way we perceive things.
'Pentaprism ' was started with an initiative of venturing the realm of photography, by a group of enthusiastic college goers. Initially our aim was to freeze time and space within a frame but with passing time we tried to venture different arenas of creativity and our collaboration with We for Change marks our first step towards that initiative.
Together we promise to bring to you pieces of work that you will enjoy both reading and looking at.
