The wait is finally over for all you R.D. Burman aficionados. Mark your calendars for the 27th of June as Euphony celebrates the 86th birth anniversary of the legendary Panchamda with a spectacular musical tribute at Kalamandir,Calcutta. After a long year, prepare to immerse yourselves in an evening filled with nostalgia and the timeless melodies of our LoRD.

Like earlier years, this year's show too promises to be an unforgettable experience, bringing together the original musicians from HIS team. The trumpet maestro, Kishore Sodha, will grace the stage with his brilliance, while Shyamraj's saxophone will weave a tapestry of mellow nostalgia. Adding to the magic will be the soulful violin of Abhijit Mazumdar, and the rhythmic mastery of Kutun da, Panchamda's long-time associate and a phenomenal tabla player, returning after a long hiatus in an Euphony show. Also would be gracing the evening will be Sitar Maestro Rahul Chatterjee who has been an integral part of our shows for many years now.

Adding a special touch to the evening, we are honored to welcome the octogenarian mandolin maestro, Kishore Desai, for the very first time in Kolkata, who will not only enchant us with his music but also share captivating stories from his long association with R.D. Burman. And after more than a decade our very own Ankush Chinchankar will be there to unravel the intricate nuances and expertise behind Panchamda's iconic compositions.

To top it all we will have our Studio Musicians from Calcutta without whose tiring efforts the show remains incomplete and the ever energetic RJ Arvind the Anchor of the ship 🙂

Years after we are having our very own Ankush Chinchankar back with us in our 27th June show at Kalamandir. Those who have seen him,particularly in our shows before, will take a nostalgic trip down memory lane when Ankush Bhai used to be a regular in our Shows communicating with the legends of Panchamda’s team on Stage and helping all of us reach HIM as closest as we could.

As we are struggling to counter the sweltering heat across the country, here is a piece of happy news for all Panchamda admirers here and everywhere.
