Today we remember our beloved benefactor (Late) Seth Edulji Shapurji Olpadvala (30-01-1887 - 02-04-1971) . His munificence in bequeathing the 52 Chowringhee property to the Calcutta Zoroastrian Community's Religious and Charity Fund, bears testimony to his love and generosity for our community. The saying "Parsee thy name is charity" has been epitomized in the gift of this property to the community. He faced financial troubles and poor health with silent dignity steadfastly refusing to sell this extremely valuable property. His sacrifice has made a lasting difference to our community.
