Shailesh Jejurikar, an alumnus of the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Indore, is set to become the first Indian CEO of Procter & Gamble Co. (P&G), succeeding Jon Moeller on January 1, 2026.
Jejurikar, 58, has a notable background, having completed his schooling at Hyderabad Public School, where he was a contemporary of Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella.
He graduated from Elphinstone College in Mumbai before pursuing his MBA at IIM Indore.
Jejurikar joined P&G in 1989 as an assistant brand manager in India and has since held various positions across multiple regions, including North America, Europe, Asia, and Africa, focusing on Health Care, Fabric Care, and Beauty Care.
After a brief tenure at Otis Elevator Co. as a board member, he returned to P&G in 2019 and was promoted to Chief Operating Officer (COO) in October 2021.
His estimated net worth is approximately $8 million (Rs 697,640,000) as of 2025.
P&G's Lead Director, Joe Jimenez, praised Jejurikar's significant contributions to the company, highlighting his leadership in both developed and developing markets.
Jimenez expressed confidence that Jejurikar's ongoing leadership will further strengthen the foundation he has helped establish at P&G.
