Farewell to Dr. Mortuja Hussain, Principal, Nabin Chandra College, Badarpur
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
With deep respect and heartfelt gratitude, we bid farewell to Dr. Mortuja Hussain, an inspiring academic leader and true torchbearer of education.
Dr. Hussain has always been more than just a Principal—he has been a visionary, a mentor, and a guiding force for all institutions and communities he has been associated with. At Nabin Chandra College, Badarpur, his tenure has been marked by unparalleled dedication, visionary leadership, and tireless efforts toward holistic development. Under his able guidance, the college witnessed remarkable academic and infrastructural growth, achieving milestones that stand as a testament to his commitment and sincerity. His active involvement in various cells and committees of **Assam University** further highlights his contribution to the broader academic fraternity.
It is particularly noteworthy that Dr. Hussain shared a close professional bond with Late Quomrul Hoque, the revered founder of Patharkandi College. Together, they worked relentlessly for the establishment of this institution, shaping it with dreams, dedication, and determination. After the untimely demise of Quomrul Sir, it was Dr. Hussain who shouldered the responsibility of guiding Patharkandi College, keeping alive the vision, values, and ethos of his beloved colleague.
During the turbulent times when Patharkandi College faced existential challenges, Dr. Hussain stood firm with his wisdom, courage, and technical acumen. His guidance transformed uncertainty into progress, and despair into hope. From the early days of the college’s foundation to its Provincialization, from the introduction of the Science stream to the successful completion of recruitment processes, his leadership has been like that of an elder brother—nurturing, guiding, and mentoring the institution at every critical juncture.
As the Vice Chancellor’s nominee in the Governing Body of Patharkandi College, his role was instrumental. Under his mentorship, the college bravely faced its first NAAC evaluation and proudly secured a ‘B’ grade—a milestone achievement that reflected his vision and efforts. His guidance with the IQAC and various academic-administrative procedures enriched us immensely and equipped the college to align with Government policies and educational best practices.
To the Patharkandi College community, Dr. Hussain has always been a pathfinder, mentor, and well-wisher. Every interaction with him has been a lesson in wisdom, humility, and dedication to the cause of education.
As Dr. Hussain concludes his distinguished tenure as the Principal of Nabin Chandra College, Badarpur, we extend our warmest wishes for his future journey. May he be blessed with good health, peace, and happiness in the years ahead. His contributions will forever remain etched in the history of Patharkandi College, and his blessings will continue to inspire us in the pursuit of excellence.
With profound gratitude,
Patharkandi College Family
