We first came across Anisha when we saw her performing in a local pub towards the end of March. She belted out songs with such ease and elegance and in that moment, we knew we had to make her a part of season 2. So we invited her to record and perform for us sometime back. For Bloom sessions, she performs her original- 'half-scribbled nothings' among other covers accompanied by a guitar played by her friend. Her original is about two people falling for each other in the background of covid as she explains during the performance. It's also about longingness and figuring out a relationship and the uncertainties that lies ahead. Anisha knows her craft and she does it with a silent but strong confidence, familiarity and deep emotional connect. Her lyrics are relatable, hopeful inspired by everyday circumstances and people. She doesn't overdo it, it's just right, subtle and emotional. Her song remains in your head long after you've listened to it. We had a ball watching her perform and are so excited to share it with all of you and we hope this is just a first of the many. Anisha is surely one to watch. Anisha is A Singer/songwriter based in Kalimpong and has been in the underground music scene since early 2014.

For the 36th episode of Bloom sessions we have Rhea S***a who is performing her original composition called - playlist. There is something special about the ukulele and Rhea does it very well with just that and her sharp controlled vocals giving life to the very relatable original. We were pleasantly surprised with this lovely song and we are sure you all will be too. Rhea is from Kalimpong and has been drawn to music since she was 9. She believes that art comes from pain and music has never failed to heal her in trying times. Music offers a form of escapism to her and helps her cope with the unpleasant stuff in life. Rhea is also a part of a project duo called “Daydrift” and is currently working on several songs which will be published in their YouTube channel in the days to come. We wish her the very best for all her future endeavours.

For our 35th episode of Bloom Sessions, we have the very talented Pranay Chettri singing a cover of (If I Get High -originally performed by the band called Nothing But Thieves) which happens to occupy a very special place in his life.Right from how the episode starts, Pranay takes us on a journey with him with this amazing song. He makes this song his own with an acoustic feel to it. His versatile and powerful vocals makes this version/cover magnetic in nature and we love how it can make you feel emotions and move you. Pranay surely makes us fall in love with this episode !

Pranay Chettri is a singer-songwriter from the band NSPD COLLECTIVE based in Gangtok (Sikkim). For him music is so much more than only songs. He believes that it is a way of expression, a medium of being able to express and communicate, a way to let out feelings and give words to emotions. He loves everything that involves art in any form. Currently, Pranay is working with his band and they are in the process of releasing their first E.P by the year 2021 along with a music video within this year. We wish them the very best for all their future endeavours and we hope to listen to their music very soon !
