DEPARTMENT OF YOUTH CAPITAL
Department of Youth Capital is a group of populace that endeavors to augment the holistic growth of students by providing them the opportunity to develop their formal & informal skills through the principle of “Originative, Creative & Innovative”. It is a symptomatic place where all the activities & events are organized, administered & conducted by the students. Departm
ent of Youth Capital aims primarily to facilitate students and University initiated projects and secondarily to give platform to students with varied talents ranging from theatre to music, literary to fine arts, dance to photography and film production, from professional development to personality development, from modeling to physical fitness, from academically oriented competitions to sports events, from mechatronical devices design to electrical circuit design, from physical model making to coding and decoding, from inter hostel competitions to Open Intra University fiesta and from National Open fest to Global Youth Fest. The distinctiveness of the Department and its biggest strength lies in the fact that it conducts events which are proposed, planned, publicized as well as executed by the student which shapes them as a future leader in an entirely professional manner. It conducts extracurricular events in the above mentioned fields at a frequency of about a fortnight for the betterment of students thus making them sharp edged performers on the national scenario. In addition to that, it holds the responsibility of sending contingents comprising of LPU students to various reputed fests and competitions held in different institutes spread all over the nation. Besides all these Department of Youth Capital is the core responsibility of conducting Youth Vibe – the annual Global Youth Fest of Lovely Professional University. In addition to all these, Department of Youth Capital also has the distinguished opportunity of conduct events in association with other external agencies such as Punjab School Education Board Festival, Open Distance learning Centers and other government and non-government organizations working in the field of Cultural, Technical and Professional Development. The vision of Department of Youth Capital is to provide each and every interested student a platform not only to showcase his or her talent and capability, but also to grow completely by following the basic norms; and learning to work individually for the overall performance of a team in order for the higher cause of one common achievement, which may be national or international at times.
