The Bogo Ao Welfare Society (BAWS) deeply mourns the sad demise of Late Maba Bogo, who passed away after a prolonged illness, leaving behind two sons, two daughters and many grandchildren.
Late Maba Bogo was one of the senior-most members of Kunuyami Village under Kamba Circle, West Siang District, Arunachal Pradesh and was also one of the founding members of the village. Fondly known as “Mahajan” he was widely remembered for his unique style of counting money in his own distinctive script,a remarkable trait that made him well known among the people.
During his younger days, he rendered valuable service to the village and was always ready to help and support fellow villagers. His close connection with the people of neighbouring areas particularly Darak Circle remains deeply cherished. During the 90s when travelling between Darak and Kamba on foot, Kunuyami served as an important resting point along the route. His shop was a familiar place where travellers, elders and visitors would stop to rest and share moments with him.
He will always be remembered for his cheerful nature, warmth and the joy he brought to everyone around him. His distinctive habit of adding the word “Pakap” before almost every words became his signature expression, leaving behind countless fond memories among those who knew him.
His stories of travelling from Kunuyami to Silapathar on foot to bring cattle remain a treasured part of the memories he shared with others, reflecting the determination, simplicity and experiences of his generation.
The Bogo Ao Welfare Society (BAWS) deeply shares the grief of the bereaved family and the people of Kunuyami Village during this difficult time. His invaluable contributions, lively personality and enduring legacy will remain forever etched in the hearts of those who knew him.
May the departed soul rest in eternal peace and may the Almighty grant strength, courage and comfort to the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss.
With profound grief and heartfelt condolences.
