Astatine is a sonic pursuit of extremity—an idea driven by the urge to reach for the sky through raw, high-velocity, and uncompromising sound. Rooted in technical thrash metal, the project draws heavy inspiration from artists such as Yngwie Malmsteen, Children of Bodom, Pantera, and speed-metal powerhouses like Stratovarius and Galneryus. Precision, aggression, and virtuosity form the core of its identity.
The brainchild of guitarist Adreet, Astatine is a vision-led project where guitar arrangements and musical direction take center stage. Its debut release, Bare Metal Blitz, dropped on 10 January 2026 and serves as the first strike from an upcoming short EP currently in development.
Astatine Despite being in its early phase, Astatine has already made an international statement. The debut features a collaboration with Rich Gray, bassist of legendary Canadian thrash metal band Annihilator, who performed bass duties on Bare Metal Blitz - a testament to the project’s global intent and uncompromising standards.
Astatine is not defined by geography or scenes. It is not a “local band,” nor is it driven by competition. It is a long-term vision—focused, relentless, and forward-moving—working steadily toward a clear destiny carved in steel, speed, and intensity.
