Justice Gautam Patel delivered an extremely, hard hitting speech at Goa Foundation's book launch function in Panaji, Goa on March 14, 2026.
Referring to the controversial, section 39A initiated by the government of Goa, the retired Bombay HC judge said, "Goa is not a piece of meat in a butcher's shop, to be cut and distributed..."
He suggested the need for a citizens' referendum to throw out this dangerous section, which could turn Goa into a concrete jungle.
