VAEL'S EDUCATIONAL TRUST was established in 1992 with the aim of transforming an individual into a complete man with character and ability committed to national service & development. The Trust was founded by Dr.Ishari K Ganesh, M.Com, MBA, B.L, Ph.D, a visionary and an eminent educationist, in fond memory of his father Shri.Isari Velan, the Former Minister in the popular Govt. Vael's Educational Trust always served for taking education to the humble thresholds of first generation learners and weaker sections of the society.

VISTAS successfully hosted the Smart India Hackathon 2026 Internal Hackathon, bringing together 100+ teams and 500+ students for an inspiring journey of innovation, collaboration and problem-solving.

Working on real-world problem statements across diverse SIH themes, students came together to develop innovative solutions, exchange ideas and present their concepts before evaluators.

The VELS Teachers’ Excellence Awards 2026 brought together 1,000 educators from across Tamil Nadu at Vels Medical College and Hospital , Periyapalayam, to honour their dedication, commitment and lasting contribution to education.

The occasion was graced by Dr. Sowmiya Anbumani, Member of the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly, as the Chief Guest, who presented the awards and addressed the gathering.

A special medical camp for teachers was also organised as part of the celebrations, recognising the importance of their health and well-being.

A memorable celebration of the educators who inspire young minds, nurture aspirations and help shape the future.
