“Your job looks so easy.”

Yes.
That is exactly what we worked
18 hours straight
to make you think.

The client calls at 10pm.
We answer.
The flowers arrive wrong on the morning of the wedding.
We fix it before anyone knows.
The lighting rig decides today is a great day
to stop working.
Two hours before the baraat.
We fix that too.
Someone forgot to confirm the dhol player.
(It was not us.)
We find one anyway.
The mandap that was supposed to take four hours
takes seven.
We do not tell the bride.
We just finish it.
We eat when there is time.
Sleep when the event is done.
Smile through everything in between.
And when those doors open
and 300 guests walk in
and the collective gasp fills the room —
we step back.
Quietly.
Because the best thing we can do
is make sure
nobody thinks about us at all.
Just the magic.
That is the job.
And we love every impossible, exhausting,
beautiful second of it. 💛

No fine china.
No crystal glasses.
No printed menu cards.
Just a banana leaf.
And everything your grandmother ever made you feel.
The moment that leaf hits the table —
something shifts.
Conversations slow down.
Phones go down (almost).
And suddenly 300 strangers
are eating like they grew up in the same kitchen.
Papad. Pickle. Kootu. Rasam. Payasam.
In that exact order.
Because some things are not just food —
they are a language.
And everyone at this wedding
spoke it fluently.
We have dressed up venues in flowers worth lakhs.
We have built stages that took your breath away.
But nothing —
nothing —
gets the response that a perfectly set banana leaf does.
The aunties approve.
The kids are confused then converted.
The groom’s side from Delhi
asked for a second helping of sambar
and honestly that felt like the real wedding moment. 😄

taping fairy lights to a ceiling that wasn’t supposed to have fairy lights.

calmly handling a florist who just cancelled
two hours before the baraat arrives.
They fall in love with the team
eating cold samosas on the venue floor
because there was no time to sit.

Your aunt added us to the family WhatsApp group.

We have seen things.

We are basically family now and nobody signed off on this.
