⚠️ Beware! Reusing used oil is harmful to health ⚠️

During Ramadan, we use a lot of oil to fry and fry our fasting dishes. But reheating used oil over and over again can cause major health problems.

When oil is heated repeatedly, bacteria can grow in it. This can quickly lead to food poisoning.

Cons: The structure of the oil changes and harmful substances like 'trans fat' are formed. This can cause indigestion, stomach pain, and vomiting.

Serious diseases: In the long run, it increases the risk of cancer, heart disease, cholesterol, and liver diseases.

Note:
Discard the oil that has been used once.
Avoid burnt black ones when buying fried foods from outside.
Even at home, reduce fried foods and adopt a healthy eating habit.
Let's take care to stay healthy during this fasting period

"If cooking is an art, then the person who controls it is a chef and the person who executes it is a cook. Let's see what are the main differences between them..."

A chef is the 'leader' of a kitchen.
Education: They will have a professional cookery degree and long-term training.
Duties: The main job is to creatively design dishes, prepare menus, manage other kitchen staff, and ensure the quality of the food.
Position: The focus will be more on the role of a manager.

2. Cook
A cook is a person who 'prepares' food accurately.
Training: They cook through experience or by looking at recipes rather than a special degree.
Duties: The main job is to prepare daily dishes according to the instructions given by the chef.

In short: All chefs are cooks, but not all cooks are chefs! A chef creates a dish, a cook prepares it

🎉 Table etiquette at public functions: Things to know! ✨
Our behavior, especially at the table, is very important when attending a function. Maintaining good manners will not only enhance us but also the overall atmosphere of the event. Here are some simple things to know:
🍽️ Important things to note:
* Start only after permission: After everyone is seated and served, we should start eating only when the host invites us to start eating.
* Avoid using the phone: Avoid using the mobile phone as much as possible while sitting at the table. It takes away the importance of talking to others and eating.
* Eat in small portions: Take only the food you need. You can eat again later if you want. Be careful not to waste food.
* Eat slowly: Do not eat in a hurry, chew your food slowly. It is also good to participate in conversations while eating.
* Do not make noise: Avoid making noise while eating, especially when drinking drinks, etc.
* Napkin and attention: Spread your tablecloth on your lap. If you have to get up from your seat, place it on the seat of your chair. After eating, place it to the left of your plate.
* Placement of utensils: Do not try to pick up any utensils or spoons that fall from your hand, but rather alert the staff nearby.
Following these simple etiquette rules will make each of us have a better experience!

Vegetable Salads
A salad is a dish made with vegetables. It can be eaten cooked or raw. Salads are rich in nutrients and easy to digest. Some of the commonly used vegetables are:
* Salad leaves: lettuce, spinach, etc.
* Vegetables used: cucumber, carrot, radish, celery, cabbage, etc.
* Other vegetables: tomato, onion, pepper, cauliflower, broccoli, etc.
For more taste and nutrients, paneer, tofu, cooked legumes, and tubers can also be added to the salad.
Salad Dressings
Salad dressing is one of the things used to add flavor to the salad. There are mainly 3 types of dressings for vegetable salads.
* Vinaigrette Dressing: It is made with vinegar, oil, salt, and pepper. You can add olive oil, balsamic vinegar, lemon juice, mustard oil, and honey to enhance its flavor.
* Creamy Dressing: It is made with mayonnaise, yogurt, and sour cream. Ranch dressing, blue cheese dressing, and Caesar dressing are among these.
* Oil-free Dressing: It can be made without using oil and with lemon juice, yogurt, and various sauces. It is very good for health.
Garnishing
A garnish is something that is used to enhance the beauty and taste of a salad. These are some of the things that are added on top when serving it in a salad bowl.
* Nuts and seeds: Almonds, walnuts, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, etc. These add crunch to the salad.
* Grated or shredded cheese: Scatter cheese slices over the salad for a nice crunch.
* Herbs: Mint leaves, coriander leaves, crushed garlic, basil leaves, etc.
* Croutons: Toasted bread slices. These add a unique flavor to the salad.
By keeping these things in mind, you can make a salad that is both nutritious and delicious. If you want to know about any specific salad, you can ask.

Here are some tips for using food set up at a buffet counter:
* Prepare to eat: Before going to the buffet counter, take a plate, spoon, fork, and glass. These are often arranged near the counter.
* Choose dishes carefully: The dishes at the buffet counter are often arranged as starters, main courses, and desserts.
* Starters: Salads, soups, and small snacks are usually placed first. You can choose from these in small quantities as you like.
* Main Courses: The main dishes such as curries, rice, biryani, noodles, dosa, chapati, and chicken dishes are placed next. Take the ones you like on your plate.
* Desserts: Desserts are placed at the very end. Cakes, stews, ice cream, and fruit salads are usually found.

* Provide a place for everyone to take their food without disturbing people standing in line.
* Place the spoons used when taking food in their respective dishes.
* Do not spit or sneeze while taking food.
* Avoid filling your plate with food.
* Try to take only the food you need.
* Place the plate in a specially designated place for placing plates and glasses after eating.
