Creativity Against Ragging ✨

KSAC was buzzing with enthusiastic students participating in the Poster Making Competition and Essay Writing Competition on the 2nd day of Anti-Ragging Week 2026—turning creativity and expression into powerful voices for a safe, inclusive and ragging-free campus. 🎨📝

Through these engaging activities, students explored the importance of empathy, dignity, respect and peer responsibility, reinforcing the message that every student has a role to play in building a positive campus culture.

The national Anti-Ragging Week is observed from 12–18 August, with the – Youth Against Ragging campaign encouraging young people to stand together against ragging and promote friendship, respect and inclusion.

Let creativity speak. Let respect lead. Together, let’s build a campus where everyone belongs. 🤝❤️

One Campus. One Voice. Zero Tolerance.

Anti-Ragging Week 2026 was inaugurated yesterday at KIIT in the esteemed presence of the Director, Student Services, Pro Vice-Chancellor, KSAC Core Committee, and the NSS & YRC family, reaffirming our collective commitment towards a safe, inclusive and ragging-free campus. 🤝✨

Observed nationally from 12–18 August, Anti-Ragging Week is an initiative supported by the UGC and Centre for Youth (C4Y) to build awareness, encourage peer accountability and promote a culture of empathy, dignity and respect. This year’s national campaign carries the powerful message — Youth Against Ragging. (Anti Ragging⁠)

At KIIT, the commitment is clear: Zero Tolerance towards Ragging. Our dedicated Anti-Ragging Committee and proactive monitoring mechanisms work towards ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for every student. (KIIT Deemed to be University⁠)

On the occasion of National Handloom Day, my lovable KIITians celebrated KAANCHI 2026 – The 12th National Handloom Celebration with great enthusiasm. I was very happy to welcome Shri Pradeep Bal Samanta, Hon’ble Minister of State (Independent Charge), Co-operation and Handlooms, Textiles & Handicrafts, Government of Odisha, as the Chief Guest.

For the last 30 years, I have been trying in my own small way to promote the handloom of Odisha. I have brought thousands of sarees directly from hundreds of our handloom weavers and gifted them to guests visiting KIIT and KISS. For me, it is not only about gifting a saree; it is about promoting our handloom culture and supporting the families of our weavers.

Our handloom carries the identity, culture and creativity of generations. Odisha has such a rich handloom tradition, and we must always take pride in it.

I felt very happy to see our young KIITians celebrating and carrying forward this beautiful legacy.
