In a short span of few months , Baithak-the Art House has hosted multiple events in Dhrupad ,Khayal , Classical dance -Bharat Natyam /Kathak, Flamenco , Theater ,Instrumental , Poetry & Story telling by visiting International artists from UK,Spain,France,Italy,USA and Germany along with Indian Artists from New Delhi, Mumbai,Bangalore,Banaras, Gwalior & Calcutta,Indore as well as Bhopal

CONCEPT :

Baithak means sitting together ...it is an age old Indian tradition of musician and dancers to sit together ,listen,interact ,perform and fuel each other’s creativity..

Having same concept behind ,Baithak is created...It is a creative space ,meeting point for deep art lovers,exponents and learners, to meet, to learn ,to listen and to perform.

Baithak has a artistically designed wooden dancing studio for Flamenco and Indian classical dance forms such as Kathak,Bharatnatyam,Odissi can be learnt ,practiced and performed. the same space is also to be used for Baithaks,jamming sessions as well as intimate performance space .

apart from this Baithak also offers a beautiful rooftop -with a sunrise and sunset views ,green view around and ample space for rooftop performance ,Theater rehearsals ,Art exhibitions ,Yoga /meditation and sometime just to sit ,talk and relax :)

In nutshell ,it provides a creative space to upcoming artists....A space where they can take workshops from visiting/local eminent artists, interact /collaboration and listen to other musicians , meet and understand other forms of arts around the world (flamenco,jazz,blues,Western classical etc.) and also perform their art form regularly.

Having a place like this, will fuel the artistic local community and might inspire such upcoming artists for their respective journey ....... hoping, wishing & believing !
