Honoring Lineage. Immersive Learning.

Our Tabla and Kathak workshop at Guruvan began by honoring the lineage and seeking the blessings of elders and gurus who make this tradition possible.

Over the two days, many joined — young learners, experienced practitioners, and curious minds — all coming together to broaden their horizons, spread their wings, and dig deeper into the transformative journey of riyaaz, rhythm, and perspective.

Moments like these remind us that Indian classical arts are not only taught — they are lived, shared, and carried forward through paramparā.

Grateful to everyone who participated and helped create such a beautiful learning space.

Last night’s Vasant Panchami celebration at Guruvan, coinciding with Republic Day of Bharat, was a gentle reminder of why such traditions matter.
At its heart, this was about reconnecting music and art with our social existence. Seasonal gatherings like these were always meant to bring people together, to honor our rich classical lineage, and to nurture human connection alongside sensitivity and reverence for nature. Somewhere along the way, much of this has been diluted into exhibition and entertainment.
What we experienced last night was different. It was heartfelt, honest, and deeply grounding. A shared musical togetherness, filled with quiet joy and collective presence, and carried by the blessings of Maa Saraswati. Moments like these reaffirm why we gather, and why we continue.

✨ Guruvan Holi Milan: A Symphony of Colors & Devotion ✨🎶

Heartfelt gratitude to all who made this gathering unforgettable! 💛 Such informal unassuming celebrations are the true hallmark of Holi spirit where inhibitions are shed and courage to step up is reinforced. This session too became a musical masterpiece—from Sangeeta Ji & her disciples’ soulful performances to Ashesh Ji’s mesmerizing vocals with Manoj Ji’s tabla. 🎤🥁

🌿 Kabir Gayan by Shri Tapas touched our souls, while Shekhar Ji & Vandana Ji’s bhajans filled the air with devotion. Special applause to Jain Bhabhiji for stepping onto the stage for the first time! 👏

A magical day, made even more special by the presence of our revered Guru, Pandit Shri Kiran Deshpande Ji, whose guidance is our true blessing. 🙏✨
