With unwavering commitment to grassroots sports development, our Hon’ble Chairman Taekwondo Master Shreepada R Rao extended strategic administrative support for the District Level Taekwondo Championship 2025–26, organised by the Taekwondo Association of Kolhapur on 29th June 2025.

We are proud to share that our Hon’ble Chairman, Taekwondo Master Shreepada R Rao, formally inaugurated a 7-day Self-Defense Training Course at Rani Channamma University, Belagavi, in the esteemed presence of Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, Prof. C. M. Thyagaraja on 18th June 2025.

This intensive course featured our signature initiative, “Kick & Shout”, a flagship self-defense programme meticulously designed and led by Taekwondo Master Rao himself, aimed at equipping young individuals, especially women, with essential skills for personal safety, confidence-building, and empowerment through Taekwondo.

The inaugural session marked a significant stride in our mission to foster a safer, stronger, and more self-reliant youth community through the values of discipline, awareness, and resilience. 🥋✨

Rao’s Yuva Academy headed by Taekwondo Master Shreepada R Rao was started in the year 2012, with the vision to train Martial Arts to the Rural Kids of belagavi with the name as ‘Kakati Taekwondo Sports Academy’, as of today it has grown and established itself as a vast academy which has its units spread over 5 major districts of Karnataka (Belagavi, Udupi, Vijayapura, Bagalkote, Bengaluru).

Over the years the academy has seen many changes in its administration and branding, the academy was previously known by the following names. a) Kakati Taekwondo Sports Academy. (Oct 2012- Nov 2013) b) Sai Taekwondo Institute. (Nov 2013 - Jan 2014) c) Belgaum Taekwondo Academy. (Jan 2014 - Aug 2014) d) Belagavi Taekwondo Institutions. (Aug 2014 - Feb - 2016) e) Yuva Sports Institution. (Feb 2016 - Dec 2018) f) Rao’s Yuva Academy. (Jan 2019 - Till Date)

Since the establishment of the academy, many of our Taekwondo athletes have participated and were held victorious in the various District Level, State Level and National Level Taekwondo Championships. Our athletes have also bagged medals at CBSE South Zone and National Championships. Not only kids our adult trainees have also won Inter colleges Taekwondo Championship and stand as University Blue Champions.

As our visionary leader Taekwondo Master Rao believes that although perfection is unattainable, one must always chase it as in turn it will help an individual to find excellence, hence we are always in pursuit of excellence.
