Story MagiX Transmedia storyteller, consultant and workshop facilitator At StoryMagiX, we bring the wisdom of the past to the children of the future. I want to know more.

Children, from the age of birth, form an intense and ever-lasting relationship with their surroundings. Whether they are listening to the gush of water, or evaluating the morals and values, children are constantly learning from what is around them. As parents and caregivers, it is therefore up to us to prepare that environment through storytelling that will inspire children to ask: why was that? B

ut children are seldom engaged in the elements of culture in that most important of environments - the school - where they inevitably spend most of their time. Instead, in the modern era of busy
dual career families, the learning of culture - of languages, spirituality, and traditions - is often outsourced to television, to games, or to social virtual realities. As a result of this outsourcing, children do not learn to incorporate
elements of culture into their everyday lives. For them, their heritage remains on a distant, hazy shore. We believe young children can benefit tremendously from storytelling that is embedded with our unique culture which is over

five thousand years old and infinitely rich in philosophy, science, literature, religion, and art. The scholars of tomorrow are heirs to the wisdom of their ancestors. Our mission is to reveal to them the brilliance of this fortune through the power of storytelling.

A child's development is directly linked to its ability to interact with its environment. Children develop an understanding of themselves through their interactions with events and materials outside themselves. Storytelling have the ability to contribute this process.

“Children’s minds are sensitive to the influences of the world. Their sub-conscious minds are active, always imbibing some lesson, and realizing the joy of knowing. This sensitive receptivity allows them, without any strain, to master language, which is the most complex and difficult instrument of expression, full of indefinite ideas and abstract thinking" - Rabindranath Tagore

It all in the heart!
According to an ancient Indian fable, a mouse was in constant distress because of its fear of the cat. A magician took pity on it and turned it into a cat. But then it became afraid of the dog. So the magician turned it into a dog. Then it began to fear the panther. So the magician turned it into a panther. Whereupon it was full of fear for the hunter. At this point the magician gave up, and turned it into a mouse again saying, "Nothing I do for you is going to be of any help because you have the heart of a mouse."

A man traveling across a field encountered a tiger. He fled, the tiger after him. Coming to a precipice, he caught hold of the root of a wild vine and swung himself down over the edge. The tiger sniffed at him from above. Trembling, the man looked down to where, far below, another tiger was waiting to eat him. Only the vine sustained him.
Two mice, one white and one black, little by little started to gnaw away the vine. The man saw a luscious strawberry near him. Grasping the vine with one hand, he plucked the strawberry with the other. How sweet it tasted!
