I can say it is upgrade version of FS-100. It has done some modification. Let say the upper handle. FS-100 is using a rubber handle. For FS-700, it is using full metal with two screws, so, it is much solid. And, the size of FS-700 is bigger. Thus, Sony makes the handle much narrow. That makes your hand closer to the camera and thus can get more balance. They put some new stuff on the handle like iris push and expanded follow focus. Other than that, Sony has put the ND Filter. It is a real mechanical filter not electric. On the other hand, they have added on 3G SDI connector. It is a BNC connector.

At this moment, this camera is support 2K but it is also a 4K ready camera. According to Sony information, they will launch a firmware which can upgrade this camera to 4K camera at 2013. Other than this everyone will be very interested about the slow motion function. In pal, you can select for 100, 200, 400 and 800 fps by only press an S&Q button. The whole operation is pretty easy.
