📍 Bangalore | ❤️ Since 1987 Malancha - The pioneer institute of performing arts is affiliated to Bangiya Sangeet Parishad under Rabindra Bharati University and it provides personalised care and guidance to students who appear for Diploma, Degree and upadhi examination conducted by the University annually. Malancha's journey began in Mumbai in the year 1987 with the

main objective of practising and teaching performing arts namely Dance and Music to likeminded individuals and community. The nucleus was then a small group of dedicated souls whose prime endeavour was to bring forth the cross culture tradition of Indian arts which they had the privilege of learning. Today Malancha feels proud to be associated with the Karnatic culture and this blending started in 2001. It has continued its journey at higher pace and tempo in Bangalore keeping the intent, ethics and tradition intact while engaging enthusiasts from the local mileu with rich and varied ideations. Malancha on this day has 6 Branches in India with 4 of them located in Bangalore. The Bangalore branches are at Bannerghatta Road, Bellandur, Marathahalli and Electronic City. Malancha is indebted to the people for believing in its principles and values and truly believe in the quote that says "Coming together is beginning, keeping together is progress, working togethjer is success".

Malancha - The Pioneer Institute of Performing Arts Chironuton 2026 in the Press

Our presentation Chironuton 2026, a 100-voice Rabindra Sangeet tribute representing Karnataka, has been featured in the press.

Indian Express featured Chironuton on 11th May, and Deccan Herald featured it today, 13th May.

Hosted and organised by Malancha at Chowdiah Memorial Hall, Bengaluru, Chironuton was part of a nationwide musical homage to Kobiguru Rabindranath Tagore, bringing together choral groups across 11 states in a synchronised tribute.

We are deeply grateful to the press and media for recognising this special presentation.

Malancha feels honoured to have represented Karnataka in this nationwide celebration of Rabindra Sangeet and Tagore’s timeless legacy.

On this World Dance Day, we celebrate the language that needs no translation.

Dance is not just movement. It is memory, discipline, emotion, surrender, storytelling, strength, and joy. It teaches us to listen to rhythm, to honour tradition, to express what words often cannot, and to discover ourselves a little more with every step.

For us at Malancha - The Pioneer Institute of Performing Arts – dance has always been a journey of learning, creating, thinking, sharing, and growing together.

Today, we bow to our Gurus, our students, our art, and every dancer who keeps this beautiful world of movement alive.

After the overwhelming love and appreciation received in 2024, we return this year with something even more meaningful and special.

On Sunday, 10th May at 6:00 PM, a grand Rabindra Jayanti celebration will be held at Chowdiah Memorial Hall, Bangalore, where a hundred voices will come together in a soulful choral tribute of Rabindra Sangeet, paying homage to Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore.

What makes this celebration truly unique is that, at the very same time, similar hundred-voice tributes will be presented across India, creating a rare and beautiful musical offering that binds the country together in one shared spirit of devotion, culture, and music.

This vision, conceptualised by Mrs. Arundhati Dev, is being brought to life in Karnataka by Malancha - The Pioneer Institute of Performing Arts continuing its legacy of artistic excellence and heartfelt commitment to culture.

Some moments call for a little extra celebration. With folded hands and full hearts, Malancha - The Pioneer Institute of Performing Arts shares a day of rare pride and deep gratitude.

It is truly a triple award year, and indeed, triple the joy.

With the blessings of Ma Saraswati and Sai Baba, we are proud to announce that three of our students have secured University All India Ranks, among more than 50,000 students from institutions under Bangiya Sangeet Parishad, affiliated to Rabindra Bharati University.
