This reception was built layer by layer — chairs draped in an ombre wash of dusty rose, a bandstand wrapped in soft ivory drapes at the far end.
The old stone fountain added one more detail along the way, its swans standing quiet in the water.
Stone underfoot, greenery overhead, enough light to tie it together. Simple details, done right. 🌷🌷

As planners, we don’t get many briefs like “make it feel like a forest” — but when we do, this is what happens.

Gold arches and blooms tucked into every corner and a canopy of green holding it all together.

Some setups take hours to build and only a second to feel magical.
This was one of them. 🦋🦋

Two different heritages. One decision to spend forever together. ♥️♥️

Everything else — the rituals, the red, the celebration — was just the two of them showing up as fully themselves.

Why do we even celebrate haldi?

Because before the vows and the festivities, the turmeric is applied to bless the bride and groom, to protect them, to bring good luck as they begin a new chapter together.

It’s said to cleanse and purify, to ward off evil, and to bring a glow that’s as much about joy as it is about tradition.
It remains one of the most important Hindu pre-wedding rituals, marking the start of everything to come.

There’s something quietly beautiful about a bride in her full traditional glory — temple jewellery settled into place, a maang tikka catching the light just so, mehendi still fresh on her hands from the night before.
Her tangerine-and-ivory Kanjeevaram does all the talking, wrapped the way it’s been wrapped for generations, needing no updates.
This is tradition worn with heart, not obligation. 🪷
