Draped in Dusk | Dympna & Vikrant’s Mehendi

As daylight melted into dusk, Dympna & Vikrant’s Mehendi unfolded like a living canvas.
Layers of crinkled fabrics, sculptural florals, and floating organza canopies moved gently with the breeze, while muted copper, peach, patina, and hay tones painted the space in soft evening warmth.

Inspired by geometric abstraction, the setting felt playful yet poetic—where every fold, every texture, and every shadow turned the sundowner into a story of art, celebration, and effortless romance ✨

Our story

Aara was founded in 2018 by Saranya Gogineni and Aparna Venkatesh out of a love for creating beautiful spaces and memorable experiences. With backgrounds in craft, textiles and the flower industry, Saranya and Aparna combine their knowledge to push the boundaries of event design by curating experiences that are informed by traditional Indian design forms and artistic practices.
