Now, it is no more Highways for the Amdavadis and has become a road and it has become a part of life of most of the citizens. It is one of the main traffic arteries for the city like C.G. Road & Ashram Road. It has already two overbridges. One on Narmada canal and the second one on the railway tracks. Having two flyovers already at Adalaj cross roads
and Iscon cross roads, two more flyovers are in the queue. A recently proposed flyover at Thaltej circle and one more at Gota cross roads will set up there soon. So you will not have to wait in long traffic jams. The road has become a hot spot for the youngsters as well as people of all age group as it has several things to say. Do you want to shop, just have a ride on S.G. Road as it is home for several malls like The Devarc Mall, The Big Bazaar, The Gallops Mall and The Iscon Mega Mall. So you can shop as much u wish. Are you bored, wanna see movie? For entertainment, it has having a number of multiplexes like Fun Cinemas, Cinemax at Devarc Mall, K Sera Sera miniplex at The Gallops Mall, PVR at the Acropolis Mall,Wide Angle, Cinemax opposite High Court. After shopping or seeing a movie u might get hungry. But as u are on S.G. Road u need not to worry. It consists of a number of restaurants, hotels and fastfood centres. McDonalds, Pizza Hut, The Grand Bhagwati, Hotel Cambay, Red Chilli n many more. It also provides Gujarati type of food restaurants like Madhuli and a list enlists. The road gives you a number of party plots for marriage, reception or any other ceremony that you would like to attend. Road is the home for the largest clubs in the city like Rajpath Club and Karnavati Club. One more Silver Owk Club is also located there. The highest judicial tribunal of Gujarat is also located here, The Gujarat High Court. The place has become the automobile hub in the city having showrooms of Mercedes, Audi, Nissan, BMW, Porsche, Jaguar, Harley-Davidson, Land Rover,Volkswagen, Honda, Hyundai, Maruti Suzuki & Mahindra. The way consists of two major hospitals are there to treat you if you are sick. One is sola civil (with a medical college) and other one is the Kidney Hospital. There are well known temples of Iskon, Sola Bhagvat and Vaishnodevi on this route only. The parents need not to worry about their children’s study because Gujarat’s most reputed self-financed university is there to teach them management, law, pharmacy, technology and sciences – Nirma University is also located here. The AMTS & no ticket AUDA buses are there as public transport. It is great to have BRTS connecting Shivranjani to Iscon,soon will be up to high court. A proposed Metro train project is also there to provide you better transport facilities, but it likely will take its own time to setup. So this is all about S.G. Road. Shortly saying, S.G.
