Nobody knows exactly when it happened...

One minute Jaque took a photo...

The next, tango dancers from all over Cork were following her through the streets, proudly carrying their favourite tango portraits and hoping for "just one more!" 😂💃🕺

Meanwhile... poor DJ Ducky Day is beginning to suspect that photographers are stealing his fan club. 🦆🎧

"Good music is timeless... unlike my popularity!"

Don't worry, Ducky—we all know there wouldn't be unforgettable tango photos without unforgettable tandas first. ❤️

I set out to create a refined tango showcase:

El Torito for the bold one, El Gato for the sneaky one, and Milonga Sentimental for the broody diva.
Everything was going perfectly… until El Choclo started and someone brought out corn on the cob.

At that point, the chickens stopped dancing and started inhaling corn like it was a Class A substance.

I have officially lost control of the flock but not the dancers:

Join us for our regular Milonga Sabado on Saturday 25 July, 1900 - 2300 at the Quaker Meeting House, Summerhill South, Cork for an evening of beautiful tandas and warm tango vibes.

Our resident duck DJ will be so absorbed in the music that even the photographer can’t get his attention… but you’ll definitely feel it on the dance floor.

Come to dance, listen, chat, or just soak up the atmosphere – all levels welcome, no partner needed.

DJ Ducky Day had every intention of staying home to “prepare responsibly” for the Cork Tango AGM…

But the tango addicts intervened.

In a dramatic and highly elegant operation, he was gracefully dragged away from his study and straight toward the dance floor. Books were left open. Vinyl was abandoned. A rubber duck remains traumatised. 🦆

Which brings us to this important gathering:
