Popular Galway eatery The Misunderstood Heron has announced its move to a new location along the Connemara coast.

The iconic gem first started as a food truck based out in Leenane but the owners were forced to shut down last year after an order from the council.

Operated by husband-and-wife Kim Young and Reinaldo Seco since 2017, the café had become a staple of journeys to Connemara for its blend of Chilean and Irish cuisine but promptly shut following the closure notice on Sunday, April 27.
