*ARTIST FOCUS* Proudly spotlighting our selectors for this Friday:

Just Nathan, our opener from 7pm

Just Nathan moves freely between disco, house, and techno, stitching together classic grooves and hard edged analog pressure. Playing vinyl first, his sets evolve slowly, starting deep and soulful before locking into raw, hypnotic rhythm built for the floor.

Medalla

Medalla started DJing on vinyl in the early 2000s, with his musical focus rooted in deep house and deep techno. His influences developed over time, starting with Mauro Picotto and Dave Clarke, followed by James Holden, Kristian Beyer, and Radio Slave, with later inspiration from Delano Smith and Ryan Elliott, shaping a sound that prioritises groove, depth, and long-form mixing.

RBM

RBM started DJing 3 years ago but has started mixing vinyl only this year. He has always had a strong passion for music being raised on the golden era of 90’s/00’s techno and trance. His taste varies from house to techno with everything in between, but his main style is hypnotic, groovy techno.

Michael C

Although a late comer to the dj scene, Michael C has been a techno fan since a young age. Having attended event like creamfields, Spring party and Winter Party in his teens he found his love for techno attending Dave Clarke sets in the Redbox, Richie Hawtin at creamfields and albums such as World Service and Decks and EFX and a 909. Other influences include techno heavyweights such as Speedy J, Robert Hood, Gary Beck.

Řitual

A reneletess producer and dedicated vinyl dj, Řitual brings his signature sound to Ťechnique. Founder of TanzTracks Records, his debut 12" on the label demonstrates his unparallelled passion for pushing the boundaries of techno.

Laynee

With 28 years of experience, we invited Laynee to close the night for us. Laynee has a unique style and a record collection which spans genres like Techno, Hard Trance/House, Breakbeat, Hardcore and Oldskool. She has played across Dublins venues, is a staple on the Irish festival circuit and has supported huge acts such as 808 State, Joey Beltram, Billy Nasty, Mr C, Judge Jules and many more.

Karla K, our opener from 7pm

Karla K has been DJing for nearly 20 years, her love of vinyl rooted in a rare collection of white-label records she inherited in the 2000s. Known for her House of Yoga and Breathe With The Beat events — a fusion of music, movement, and breathwork that has featured at festivals like Electric Picnic — Karla brings a sensitivity to sound and rhythm.

Akari

Akari aka Davin Coady and 1/2 of Between Ourselves, is a Waterford homegrown talent on the decks and in the studio, with a severe addiction to music. Exposed to a multitude of genres by family and friends at an early age, to working with different labels and artists across the globe, Akari's passion for music is well established and proven in his sets and productions.

REOSC

REOSC is a Dublin-born techno producer and DJ whose music fuses the raw energy of Ireland’s underground with the futuristic pulse of Detroit. His tracks are steeped in the legacy of Jeff Mills, Juan Atkins, and Claude Young, yet bring a modern, driving edge that has earned him international recognition.
With successful releases on Soirée Records (Detroit) Bang Le Dex (Chicago) a residency on Detroit’s 313.fm, and repeated appearances in Detroit alongside Underground Resistance, Wavejumpers and Drivetrain REOSC has become one of the few Irish artists directly embedded in the Detroit techno story.

Casper Hastings

Casper Hastings is an electronic producer and DJ from Ireland who has released on labels such as TXTRL, Sticky Ground, RLSD Records, Rave Selekts, Obscuur Records to name a few. Coming from a small town in south rural Ireland that thrived on the sounds of early techno, Casper began to craft his DJ skills around 2006 when he began playing at illegal raves. Since then, he has defined his own style and worked his way around the Irish scene, building a name for himself. He studied sound engineering in his early twenties and began producing. His productions have a defined, dark sound and often nod to the familiar sounds.

Will Power one half of Waterford duo Will & Warren and Waterford veteran, has been djing over for 30 years. He plays everything from Deep House to Deep Techno. Over the years Will has been featured on line ups at The Rythem Rooms, South, Musiklab at The Forum ,The Basement, Republik, The Loft, and has warmed up for some greats, such as Kenny Hawks, Lee Burridge, tINI, Inland Knights and Mr.C, to name just a few.

CHRISTY & LEAMY (Electronic)
Closing the night with a 3 hour set.

Christy and Leamy are the driving force behind the ELECTRONIC events in Waterford, which started in early 2017 when the Waterford music scene was almost devoid of techno. The lads have grown a big following for the relentless style of 4x4 techno they play at their infamous 4 deck, 2 mixer sets.
They have supported some of the biggest names in the business like DJ Rush, Sunil Sharpe, Dax J and Jerome Hill, to name a few.
This August bank holiday weekend they are dusting off the vinyl collection and taking it back to the old school with 2 x 1210's and a huge sound system expect to hear the crackle of the needle and unmistakable crunch of 90's techno bangers, infused with rave stabs and a hint of electro played like only they can.

Daria, our opening DJ from 7pm

Daria is a vinyl-only DJ and record collector with a deep appreciation for timeless grooves. She began her journey with All That Jazz, a radio show on Open Tempo where she showcased her love for jazz and soul.
While those roots still influence her style, Daria's true passion lies in blending disco, funk, house, and Brazilian rhythms. With a love to the warm, analog sound of records, she curates sets that keep the energy high and the dancefloor alive. Based in Waterford, she spins regularly in local spots and brings her uplifting, smile-inducing sets to cities beyond.

Jamie E

A long term fixture on the Waterford scene with 20+ years experience playing records, Jamie brings his signature house sound and flawless mixing to the table. Co-founder of long-standing club night Ginger Funk nTech during the 2010s, Jamie knows how to fill the room and make the dance floor move.

Chris Grace

A keen interest in music going back to the 18th century, when he was known as the Count of Longcourse and mistakenly locked in an island prison where he learned to dj and developed a love for Techno, and after following other pursuits he is playing his first set in many years.

Alan Harris

Alan Harris has been a fixture in the electronic music scene for over 20 years, known for delivering high-energy sets rooted in techno and, more recently, house. He co-promoted RE:TECH alongside Joe Gould and was a regular with respected collectives such as Re:publik, Electric Circus, and Musiklab.

Alan has played at prominent venues beyond his home base of Waterford, including The Pygmalion, The POD, Crawdaddy, and the Temple Bar Music Centre. Throughout the years, he has played support to the likes of Jeff Mills, Ben Klock, Adam Beyer, Marco Carola, and Dave Clarke — to name just a few
