Rebecca and Luke got married at Killyon Manor in late July, with family and friends who flew in from the US to be there.

They chose two unity rituals for their ceremony. A salt ceremony, where they each poured salt into one shared vessel, a quieter alternative to the usual sand ceremony, and once mixed, impossible to ever pull apart again. And a ring warming, where their rings were passed hand to hand through everyone there before the ceremony even began, each person adding a quiet wish of their own.

Rebecca wrote to me afterwards that it was "an unforgettable experience and a truly perfect day."

Thank you both, and to everyone who travelled so far to be there.

Sarah and Paul got married in 2021.

*Last* weekend, I named their second child, Senan, at Luttrelstown Golf Club. I named their daughter Maebh a few years before that too.

Three ceremonies, one family, and I still get the same rush every time I stand in front of them.

They wrote this afterwards:

"She has a wonderful ability to make every ceremony feel incredibly personal and meaningful, and she is a brilliant storyteller."

Throwing it right back ✨️

Aoife and Amar got married in December 2019, and from our first conversation I knew this ceremony needed to hold two cultures properly, not just nod to one.

Amar's family is from Mauritius, and Hindu tradition mattered to both of them going in. So I went away and researched the crossovers. Lighting one wedding candle became lighting seven, echoing the seven vows of a Hindu wedding. We added a hand fastening too, since binding hands together carries that same meaning, and it meant their children could take part, with their girls adding the ribbons.

Aoife told me afterwards it was through getting those details right that they ended up with a proper fusion of both sides of their story, neither one diluted for the other.

So that's exactly what I did.

There were tears, laughter, and a moment mid-ceremony when Chandler laughed so hard at one particular shared anecdote. Rachel didn't even try to hide that she was delighted.

This is my favourite part of the job. When a ceremony sounds so much like a couple that their guests could have written it themselves.

Eoin & Noel chose something beautiful and simple — a winter celebration in Ghan House surrounded only by their closest family and friends.

One of the loveliest parts of the day was seeing Noel’s daughter woven so naturally into the ceremony — not as a guest to the moment, but as part of the story itself.

There was laughter, quiet moments, meaningful rituals and so much love in the room.

A reminder that weddings don’t need hundreds of people to feel full — sometimes the smallest gatherings leave the biggest mark.
