We want to express our deepest sympathy and condolences to the family and friends of Lord Henry Mount Charles.
A legend is gone but he will be remembered fondly as a man of visions and legecies, making Slane Castle known worldwide.
May he rest in peace.

We are grateful to people like Owen - lifesahobby (on youtube) for documenting the festival and the energy of it. This video is a lovely documentary which shows the event from setup to finish and gives some glimpse into what the life of a reenactor is like.
Owen has been coming to the Boyne Valley Viking Experience for years and documented the people and the vibe of this event so dear to us.

These are 2 happy little vikings - Aisling and Leo both won the treasure trail quiz of this year's Boyne Valley Viking Experience and got the Viking treasure bag as a reward.
Well done!

There have been many smart kids at the festival who had the right answer for the Viking treasure trail quiz.
As many of you found out correctly from the Runes along the path, the correct name Odin is also known as, is Allfather.
The winners of the treasure bag are Leo McGuirk and Aisling McHugh. Congratulations 🤗⚔️🎉

As the longboats are leaving their harbour at the Boyne in the beautiful grounds of Slane Castle, we want to give a big thanks to all our Vikings that came from near and far, our tireless, hard working volunteers, the Conyngham family for having us and the wonderful visitors, who came and embraced the experience.
We are full of gratitude towards all of you.
Another weekend of good battles, music, fun and friendships.
