Claregalway’s 31st Annual Agricultural Show
It’s all systems go in Claregalway as the committee prepare for their 31st Claregalway Agricultural Show. The date is set for Sunday 11th June, 2023. It will take place in Duffys Equestrian Centre, Rockwood, Claregalway.
The Show schedule is available now and the committee hope that it will satisfy exhibitors’ expectations once again. Some new classes have been added including a Kerry Bog Pony Class and some classes promoting Biodiversity. All going to plan it is expected to have a Biodiversity Stand at the show which should be of interest to young and old.
The success of the show depends on the number of exhibits on the day and you are invited to participate in the various classes. Whether you are a member of an organisation, student, spectator or an avid exhibitor, Show Chairman, Val Noone, extends a warm Céad Míle Fáilte to one and all.
Galway Bay FM will be broadcasting from the show grounds, sponsored by Tom Dempsey Flooring, Oranmore. Live music will be playing all afternoon and Claregalway Community Choir will be in attendance also. We look forward to hearing them perform at 1 pm approximately in the indoor arena. Young people are invited to come along and enjoy free face painting and Dinky Diggers, also free to children. We hope to have a bouncy castle and there will be lots of trade stands indoors and in the outdoor arena.
Classes include horse and pony section, donkey classes, cattle and sheep sections, art, crafts, biodiversity, jam, eggs, home baking and farm produce, dog show, poultry and pet show.
Other popular side shows will be the Bonny Baby competition which will be held around 2 pm. The Donkey Derby will round off the day.
