This morning, we wished Ger our milkman a very happy retirement . Ger has been solid, ever present, efficient, reliable, a man of integrity and a great professional.

Leaving his love of Limerick hurling aside, we have celebrated the many Liverpool wins over the years and had a good moan about the losses.

Since I started in Smithstown at Murphs Shop in 2004, Ger has rarely missed a day and there are many who could learn from his work ethic.
Pictured here with my favourite other retiree (my dear mother Kay), who reminded Ger this morning about the times when he was dropping milk door to door nearly 40 years ago.

Best of luck to you Ger and your family on your well earned retirement & the new adventures ahead !
