The shop enjoys two thousand square feet of retail, work and storage space, encompassing a large walk in refrigerated storeroom, giving optimum storage conditions for flowers. Our commitment to the customer is guaranteed and reliability is a recognized factor of lawless flowers. We stock a vast and unusual variety of flower types, delivered to the shop daily, direct from the Dutch and Irish flower

markets. All our florists are fully qualified, our training has taken us to London, Boston, San Francisco, Holland, Austria, Germany and of course Ireland. To this end our range of floristry and our capability is vast and experienced.

Today marks a very special day for our family — a day we’ve been working towards for quite some time. Today, Joe and I are handed the keys to Lawless Flowers as the new owners. But before this new chapter begins, we first get to celebrate my incredible uncle Dan on his very last day in the shop… although I have a feeling we’ll still be calling him back in every now and again 🤣

People often speak to me about my Nana Nancy and the legacy she created when she founded the business in 1982, but my own memories of the shop are filled with Dan and Clive. From visiting the old shop on Bedford Row as a child, to later working there myself, and then years later my husband Joe joining the team for the last 7 years — the shop has always been a huge part of our lives.

Lawless Flowers has never just been “a flower shop” to our family — and I know it hasn’t been that way for so many others either. Dan has always had a way of making people feel welcome. Many of his nieces and nephews, myself included, spent different periods of our lives working in the shop. We probably weren’t always needed, but somehow Dan always found jobs for us to do. The shop became more than just a workplace — it became a place full of memories, laughter, life lessons, hard work, and family.

The dedication, care, and heart Dan and Clive have given this business over the years is impossible to put into words. Through every wedding, celebration, and difficult goodbye, they were always there with kindness and care.

While today marks the end of an important chapter, it also marks the beginning of a new one, as the business is passed on to the next generation of our family. Joe and I feel incredibly honoured to continue what my Nana Nancy first started all those years ago.

After many wonderful years, a very special chapter is coming to an end at Lawless Flowers — but the doors remain open as the business begins a new chapter with the next generation of the Lawless family.

Dan and Clive are officially retiring this Saturday after decades of dedication, hard work, and commitment to the shop and the people who supported it throughout the years. Since the business was first founded in 1982 by Nancy Lawless, Lawless Flowers has been built on family, care, and community, and Dan and Clive have played an enormous role in carrying that tradition forward.

Through countless weddings, celebrations, milestones, and difficult goodbyes, they have been there for generations of customers with kindness, talent, and genuine care. The time, effort, and heart they poured into the business over the years helped shape Lawless Flowers into what it is today. They would like to thank all employees, customers and suppliers who make Lawless Flowers what it is today.

While their retirement marks the end of an era, the business itself will continue on with Rachel Lawless and her husband Joe Benson as the new owners, with the same appreciation for the loyal customers and community that have supported the shop for so many years. Both Dan & Clive will still work close to both Rachel & Joe to consult when needed which we really appreciate.

Dan and Clive, thank you for everything you have given — not only to the business, but to all of the people who walked through its doors over the years. We wish you both nothing but happiness, health, and a retirement filled with time for yourselves. 💐

We were truly honoured to design and create all the bridal and reception flowers for their beautiful recent wedding at Dromoland Castle.

The arrangements brought a fresh, romantic feel to the historic setting — from Chloe’s elegant bouquet as she walked down the aisle to her stunning bridesmaids to the thoughtfully styled displays that enhanced the reception & church spaces.

Recently we had the absolute joy of doing the flowers for Julia & Luke’s wedding at the iconic Dromoland Castle.
These two flew across the Atlantic from the United States to celebrate their love in true Irish fairytale style — and the sunshine even made an appearance for their outdoor ceremony! We loved crafting blooms that felt both luxurious and heartfelt, perfectly suited to the castle’s historic charm and the couple’s warm, joyful vibe.
So grateful to be part of such a beautiful day.
