The largest tanker in the world is The Hellespont Alhambra, capable of transporting an impressive 441,893 tons of crude oil—comparable to the production capacity of some countries. Despite its massive size, it operates with a crew of just 37 members.

⭕️ Its deadweight tonnage is 441,893 tons, with a total length of 380 meters, a width of 68 meters, and a draft of 24.5 meters. The tanker can carry up to 3.2 million barrels of crude oil.

⭕️ It is powered by an HSD-Sulzer 9RTA84T-D engine that generates 36,900 kW at 76 rpm, enabling it to reach a speed of 16.5 knots when fully loaded and 17.5 knots when in ballast.

⭕️ Designed with a double hull for enhanced safety, the ship also features ballast tanks to minimize corrosion and a unique white paint system above the waterline to reflect sunlight, keep the cargo cooler, and reduce hydrocarbon emissions. It is classified by Lloyd’s Register (LR) and the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS).
