Glenfarne Gala 2025 - an action-packed weekend of family fun!
Gala 2025 has come and gone and what a great weekend we all had… Thanks so much to everyone who came from near and far to support the Gala festival, with record numbers attending many of our events this year!
A huge thank you goes to all those who helped in any way (too many names to mention) and especially to all the Gala Committee members whom over the past number of months volunteered many long hours planning and hosting events.
Thanks to JACK KEOGH and his band for a fantastic night of music and dancing in The Rainbow Ballroom. Well done to the McManus Family for organising the Tommy McManus Memorial Football Tournament which was a huge success again this year, with funds raised going to local Dementia services... and thanks to all the teams who took part! Big thanks to The Copperplate Ceili Band for providing brilliant music for a great night of ceili dancing. A wonderful day of family fun was had by all at our Sports Day, and we are so thankful to the large crowds that attended. Thank you to everyone that joined in and took part in all the events and activities on the day. The addition of the new “Unclimbable Ladder” went down a treat! Thank you to everyone who helped in anyway with organising novelty events, athletics, races, pets’ corners, judging of animals, dog show, cow pat lottery, and guess the weight of the sheep. Thanks to those who provided generators, refreshments and DJ Kilkenny for the sound. The new Gig Rig was a fantastic addition, thanks to Glenfarne CCE and The Mighty Blow-Ins for providing music and entertainment. Our Leitrim’s Fittest Family event was a great success with 4 teams participating… a mighty show of strength & determination was on display and the honour and title of ‘Leitrim’s Fittest Farmers’ this year goes to “The Unbelievables” … thank you to all who provided equipment for this competition. And thank you to Glenfarne-Kiltyclogher GAA for use of the pitch and facilities.
