🌞💐 A little bit of Galway wedding magic! 💐🌞

One of those glorious Galway summer days when the sun shines, the sea sparkles & the wedding bouquet is flying! 💐😂

Jean & Mark celebrated their beautiful wedding in Salthill, followed by a lovely meal at the Blackrock Cottage. With blue skies, stunning sea views & a little flower-catching excitement, it was a day full of sunshine, smiles & happy memories! 💕🥂

And that little flower girl certainly wasn't going to let the bouquet get away! 😍👰‍♀️

🚗💙 **When your groom is a petrol head, you have to get the car in the photos! ❤️😍❤️**

Ronan was rightly proud of his fantastic rally car, so I wanted to make sure we captured him & Lynette in it properly.

Photographing a couple through a windscreen can be tricky, especially when the glass reflects the sky & everything around it. Without adding flash, all those reflections would have dominated the image & you’d barely see the happy couple inside.

So I used flash to light Lynette & Ronan inside the car, bringing them into focus while still showing off that gorgeous blue machine. Because when a car means that much to the groom, it deserves its moment in the spotlight too! 💙🏁

It’s all about paying attention to the little things that make each wedding unique & capturing what matters most to the gorgeous couple. ❤️😍❤️

An ordinary day in Salthill for some, but a pretty big day for these two ❤️😘❤️

Out for a walk along the prom, with the tourists, the dog walkers & a few people wondering what was going on, while these two had just got married.

I love this kind of wedding photo. Nothing staged, just the two of them heading off together after the ceremony, with Salthill carrying on around them as normal.

And that’s Galway for you. 😂

A little bit of Sara Jane & Ciaran’s wedding day magic 💕

What a gorgeous day this was! Sara Jane & Ciaran got married this summer & had their reception at the beautiful Shearwater Spa Hotel in Ballinasloe before we headed down to the marina for some photos by the water.

There was so much laughter, a stunning bridal look & plenty of fun along the way. I absolutely love these two photos of them together on the marina! ❤️

I haven’t disappeared… I’ve just been busy photographing weddings! 😂❤️

I realised this morning that I haven’t posted here since 7th August, which is quite some time in social media land!

But all summer until last week has been wonderfully busy, with lots of gorgeous weddings, lovely couples & plenty of hours spent doing the bit of my job I love most… taking photographs. ❤️ 📷

So I’m finally emerging from behind the camera to start sharing some of the beautiful weddings I’ve been lucky enough to photograph this summer.

First up, Carolina & Luke, who were married in Christ the King Church in Salthill, followed by their reception at the Salthill Hotel.

I do love being a Galway wedding photographer when it means I get to photograph days like this right on my doorstep. ❤️

This was such a lovely wedding from beginning to end, and I adore this moment between the two of them. 😍

There’s plenty more to come… I promise I haven’t been sitting around doing nothing! 😉

I've been a busy bee 🐝 & not posting enough but hopefully I'll get back to it shortly.In the meantime, I'm working on Athina & Noel's album. Looking at their images again, I'm reminded how great natural & candid images are. I too often present the "hero" shots but it is in these natural photos that the real story is told. Noel & his siblings messing around & having fun on his wedding morning ❤️❤️❤️

A family portrait session at the Cliffs of Moher this week & tomorrow I'm heading to Inis Mór for a wedding.

Sometimes I have to stop and remind myself just how lucky I am. To live and work along Ireland's Wild Atlantic Way, with some of the most breathtaking landscapes in the world as the backdrop to the stories I get to capture, is something I'll never take for granted.

Then again, there are also days when I'm lying in wet grass, being blown sideways by the Atlantic & wondering about my life choices 😂🤣😂

Still, I can't complain.

I get to meet lovely people, photograph some of life's biggest moments & work in some of the most beautiful places in the world.

It's a privilege to document these moments in places that are so special.

Wild Atlantic Way, you're not too bad at all. ❤️😘❤️
