A wonderful night of theatre at Teach Siamsa! 🎭

A huge well done to Shout Out Youth Theatre on their excellent production of Brian Friel’s Dancing at Lughnasa at Teach Siamsa Finuge last night.

It was a fantastic performance, showcasing the talent, dedication and hard work of everyone involved, both on stage and behind the scenes.

Special congratulations to Jo Jordan and the entire team, along with the talented cast and everyone who helped bring this wonderful production to life.

It was a pleasure to welcome Shout Out Youth Theatre to Teach Siamsa and to see such a brilliant display of theatrical talent.

🎓 Congratulations to Dr Jimmy Deenihan 🎓

A huge congratulations to Jimmy Deenihan, on being conferred with an Honorary Doctorate of Arts from Munster Technological University (MTU), a fitting recognition of his outstanding contribution to Ireland and, in particular, his beloved County Kerry.

As Chairperson of Sean McCarthy Memorial Weekend Festival - Finuge , Teach Siamsa Finuge and Finuge Tidy Towns , and involvement with Finuge Gaa Jimmy continues to make a valued contribution to our local community, supporting our culture, heritage and community spirit.

Caroline Reidy, Governor on the Board of MTU, had the honour of presenting Jimmy for conferring and reading his citation. Jimmy was presented with his honorary doctorate by Professor Maggie Cusack, President of MTU, during a wonderful ceremony celebrating his achievements and those of all the graduates receiving their awards.
