It’s very rare that I get a video this good, capturing the moment someone sees their caricature for the first time. This one was pretty special!
The client wanted to make sure every aspect of his life was represented, from his family and the people closest to him, right through his entire career and all the little details that made his journey unique.
Seeing a reaction like this makes all the hours of drawing completely worth it. 🥹✏️

Wait until you see their reactions… 😂❤️

This is just a tiny snapshot from one wedding in Ballymagarvey, but it says everything.
The laughter, the surprise, the queues, and those priceless reactions are exactly why I love what I do. Every caricature becomes a talking point, every drawing creates a memory, and every guest leaves with a smile and a keepsake they’ll treasure.

I’m usually my own biggest critic, but this large watercolour wedding painting was one of those rare pieces that came together exactly as I’d hoped. Thankfully, the happy couple loved it just as much as I did. In fact, they even sent me a lovely video message after receiving it, which absolutely made my day.

This was commissioned as a wedding gift, and I honestly can’t think of a more personal way to help a couple remember one of the biggest days of their lives. It’s always a privilege to create something that’s going to hang on a wall and be treasured for years to come.

Congratulations again to the happy couple, and thank you for letting me be a small part of your story.

Last night I had the privilege of drawing at my very first deaf wedding, and what an incredible experience it was.
The smiles, the laughter, the reactions… they were exactly the same. Art really is a language everyone understands.
A huge thank you to Eimer and Mark for inviting me to be part of such a special day. Wishing you both a lifetime of happiness together.
