We love a creative entrance! One of our weddings at the museum had a brass band for the bride's arrival. The museum was the perfect setting, the video doesn't do it justice.

Myself and my (then) future husband happened to come across the Maritime Museum by accident. It ended up being the best accident to ever happen to us! The staff were brilliant from start to finish, they were so laid back and easy to talk to. The room is beautiful when set up for a wedding and something different from your traditional church setting. The pictures turned out wonderful. The celebrant they recommended to us was also brilliant. I would highly recommend this venue - Sarah & Keith

Wow what a venue! We fell in love with the history and beauty of the museum from the moment we stepped inside. Siobhan and Declan where so helpful which made our ceremony run so smoothly. All our guests complemented us on our choice of venue it made our day extra special. The moment we walked into the National Maritime Museum we both knew it was the perfect venue for our wedding ceremony. The room is absolutely stunning and full of character.

Siobhán and Declan were both a pleasure to deal with and full of ideas about the ceremony, and the following drinks reception, that we ended up using. In terms of planning the ceremony, it couldn't have been easier. As it's such a beautiful setting, very little decoration or set-up is required.

We and our guests had a fabulous day at the Museum and we couldn't recommend it as a wedding venue more. -Jon & Danny

Lynda and I celebrated our wedding on 1st June this year at the Maritime Museum and it was an absolutely beautiful setting. The maritime artefacts dominated by the Baily Optic, beside which we stood for the ceremony, fit wonderfully into the old church building. Close to the sea and in the heart of Dun Laoghaire, our town, it was a great location. The staff of the Museum were caring and attentive at all times. - Lynda & Peter

The National Maritime Museum truly exceeded all of our expectations when searching for somewhere to hold our wedding ceremony. A beautiful setting, we continue to have guests compliment how spectacular a venue it is. The staff were beyond friendly and helpful, with plenty of experience, placing us in capable hands to help organise our big day. Of all the hundreds of decisions you are faced with when planning a wedding choosing the Maritime turned out to be one of our very best! - Joanne & Erik

We immediately loved the Maritime Museum - the building, the location, the light on the altar - everything! Having both grown up by the sea, the museum was a perfect choice for us.
What made it even more special were the people we got to deal with - Sean and Derek were so laid back and helpful in getting prepared for the day - very practical and accommodating.
On the day everything went perfectly - the team set up a fantastic spread outside the museum so that all the guests could bask in the sunshine! Everyone commented on how friendly and helpful the team were and they loved being able to take a wander around after the ceremony to see all the museum had to offer!

From the ceremony and the oysters and Guinness outside the Maritime Museum and restaurant reception at Marco Pierre White, this is one cool wedding.
