Happenings

Happenings Founded in 2009, Happenings run low impact, informal, socially and environmentally responsible events in public spaces around Dublin city and nationwide.

Our belief is that the pub (which is great craic) should not be the only option. Events include open air cinema, open air yoga, gigs, festivals, conferences and everything in between. For Happenings larger out door screenings in Merrion Square for example, we use solar and battery technology to power all our needs. We must limit carbon emissions and we can. Follow us on Twitter:

Our very own has a show coming up!

Shows will be on 2pm & 7pm on the 12th & 13th June 2026 as part of Cork Midsummer Festival. Tickets available at www.corkmidsummer.com

STIMPHONY explores the music within stimming bodies and asks, what does somatic regulation sound like? How do our bodies and brains manage the constant sensory input of our world? We manage through stimming - and we celebrate, mourn, rage, and soothe through stimming too. Co-created with disabled adults in Cork and the Inclusive Music Ensemble, STIMPHONY is a new theatrical-symphonic engagement with Neurodivergent experiences through movements inspired by body-memory, emotional regulation, and personal growth. How does it feel to be us? More importantly, how does it sound?

Funded by the Arts Council of Ireland | An Chomhairle Ealaíon & Cork City Council Arts Office, Supported by MTU Cork School of Music and the Inclusive Music Ensemble, Commissioned by Cork Midsummer Festival.
