This celebration goes back over 3000 years and it is the time to remember the loved ones who have died.
It originated in Mexico and is associated with the Catholic celebration of all Saints’ Day but much less solemn. It is a holiday of joyful celebration rather than mourning.
During this holiday people wear skull masks, costumes,flowers… Will eat, drink …
At home it is celebrated building altars called “ofrendas” with the favourite foods and beverages of the departed.

We will celebrate it 🌺☠️🍸from Thursday 28, October to Sunday 31, October.🗓

Enya room, called after the famous Enya (singer and songwriter ) today looks more exhuberant than ever with all these fresh flowers around. Even a super Diva would not complain.

I can't decide what photo to post to show the member's room🤔, at the Irish Institute of Music & Song
I would need lots, so better come and see by yourself.
The member's room was the old Petty Sessions room in Balbriggan. Established around 1851.
This Victorian room has been brought into 21st century keeping character and looking fresh.
