Our inaugural Leopardstown Racecourse Irish Pony Club Exhibition Race was a fantastic showcase of young riding talent, with Christopher Pugh taking the win for Kildare Pony Club.

A massive well done to all the riders who took part and a huge thank you to everyone who helped make the race possible.

A special thank you to Seamie Heffernan for taking the time to walk the track with the participants ahead of the race and share his experience with the next generation of riders.

Who knows, we may see some of these young talents back at Leopardstown in the years to come! 👀

Just 12 years old, a winner at Leopardstown and dreaming of becoming a jockey! 🏇💜

Christopher Pugh delivered a brilliant performance to win the Leopardstown Racecourse Irish Pony Club Exhibition Race for Kildare Pony Club.

When asked if he wants to be a jockey, his answer was simple: “Very badly.” 👀

Definitely one to keep an eye on… could we see Christopher back at Leopardstown in a few years’ time, this time as a jockey? 💭
