It is with great sadness that the Limelight team has learned of the passing of Seán Rocks. We have had the pleasure of working with Seán on Arena since its inception and our experiences have always been exemplary.

Seán was a consummate professional, a gentleman, and never anything less than generous with his time and knowledge. He is a huge loss to the Irish broadcasting landscape and the arts and cultural community across Ireland. He will be greatly missed by us. We extend our heartfelt sympathies to his family, friends, and the colleagues in RTÉ he respected so much.

Join Dublin City Council Community & Social Development Team in celebrating ‘National Playday- The Power of Play’.

“This is the first event to celebrate Article 31; the child’s right to play, in my local constituency and I am really looking forward to joining families to enjoy this wonderful Autism Friendly and Inclusive event to celebrate National Playday in another of our great local parks. I would like to thank the Department of Children, Disability & Equality for their kind support and part funding of this event” says Lord Mayor of Dublin Councillor Ray McAdam.

National Playday- The Power of Play “, will take place at John Paul II Park (on Ratoath Road, near Cabra Parkside Sports & Community Centre) this Sunday 13th July at from 2.00 p.m. to 5,00 p.m. with earlier access from 1.00 p.m. for children and young people with specific needs. So, come on out to play and join in this fun filled day to celebrate ‘play’ in Dublin/Ireland. Please note, you are welcome to bring along camping chairs or picnic blankets and picnic of course and please wear old clothes as it will get messy!

We have had the best day celebrating Dublin Pride 2025!

This morning over 600 LGBTQ+ young people, youth workers, and teachers came together for our Pride breakfast in Dublin City Council and to march with us through the streets of Dublin. Some left their homes in the wee hours of the morning from as far as Donegal and Kerry just to be a part of this special day.

We send our solidarity to LGBTQ+ communities like those in Budapest, Hungary who had their Pride march banned today, and we recognise the significance of being able take to the streets in protest. This is a right we must not take for granted.

Thank you to all of the volunteers and crew who came along to shake buckets, serve breakfast and support outreach in Pride Village and a special thanks to our partners at Dublin City Council, the HSE Ireland, Limelight Communications, Musgrave MarketPlace, Primark and Toast - we are so grateful for all of your support in making this event happen.
