The next edition of our Lunchtime Webinar Series is taking place on Wednesday June 25th from 12-1pm. For this webinar Áine May Hughes will be exploring Greenwashing & Sustainability Communications 🌱📣

From a young age Áine has been passionate about live events and music festivals. As she dove deeper into the events industry, she began to uncover the unsustainable practices behind them - how they can contribute towards shallow, capitalistic mindsets that drive significant waste and negative environmental impact.

Now as an experienced event producer and sustainability consultant, Áine will help debunk assumptions made about sustainability, provide tips for avoiding greenwashing, and help us decode the sustainability narratives that actually matter.

Register your interest and save your spot to learn more via the link in our bio 🙂

We’re excited to continue supporting Ireland’s independent festivals. This Bank Holiday weekend, our Smart Waste Crew is heading to Sherkin Island, the ancestral home of the O’Driscoll clan, for Open Ear Festival! 🌞

Only a 10-minute ferry ride from Baltimore in Co. Cork, Sherkin is one of Ireland’s most accessible islands. Our team will be there for the weekend, helping to maintain the island’s spectacular natural backdrops.

Heading to Open Ear? You can help too - simply bring less waste, use the bins provided, and take your _____ home. 🚮

Open Ear celebrates the experimental, leftfield sounds of Ireland’s vibrant electronic music scene. We’re proud to support this special festival, which is setting new standards for sustainability at music events.

Belfast City Council have teamed up with Native Events to develop a sustainability toolkit specifically for the music industry in Northern Ireland. As part of BCC´s Music Matters Strategy, we want to identify the primary challenges and needs in environmental sustainability within Northern Ireland´s Music Industry.

This will help us create practical resources and tools that support you to implement sustainable practices in your work, ensuring the music industry evolves sustainably.

The survey is open until Tuesday 13th May and can be found at this link:

https://nativeevents.typeform.com/NIMusicIndustry

It takes 7 mins to complete and we are thoroughly looking forward to receiving as many responses as possible from anyone working in the music industry.

Please share this with music artists, bands, sound & AV technicians, venues, events, festivals, educators, promoters, producers etc.

We look forward to publicising the results in the coming months.

Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us!

Did you know Bealtaine Festival at the Hill of Uisneach is thousands of years old?

Steeped in Ireland’s pagan roots, it is said to be the burial place of the earth goddess Éiru, from whom Ireland (Éire) derives its name. The ancient festival was revived in 2009 and brings age-old traditions back to life with traditional craft, music, a procession of fire and the lighting of the Bealtaine Fire 🔥

Native Events are delighted to be involved in the production of this ancient festival in 2025.
Kick off festival season with the bringing of light at the sacred centre of Ireland.

Tickets are available now www.uisneach.ie or at
