Spring Has Sprung (According to Me, Anyway) 🌼☀️
It’s February 1st, which means—by the Traditional Irish Calendar—spring has officially arrived! 🎉 Sure, the meteorologists might argue otherwise, but the sun is shining, the buds are appearing, and honestly? I’m siding with St. Brigid on this one. 🌱
So, in honour of the season (and my refusal to wait until March), I’ve put together a bright, sweet arrangement with a proper spring in its step—think sunshine in flower form. 🌸✨
Winter? Never heard of her. Let’s call it: Spring is here, and she’s fabulous. 🌼💛

🌸 Pastels, but with a Little Attitude 🌸
I started off the week making a soft, delicate pastel arrangement —something gentle, dreamy, very “whispering in a meadow.”

But then, some brighter sharp colours caught my eye, and, well… restraint has never really been my thing. 😇
Now it’s part pastel, part party. 🥂

Honestly, I kind of love it. The pastels are still there, doing their soft and elegant thing, but the brighter tones bring a bit of fun— It’s giving romantic, but not boring. Soft, but with a little wink. 😉

🌸 Resetting, Refocusing, and Chasing the Pastel Dream 🌸
As I reset and refocus for 2025 (new year, same me but with fancier goals)..

I found myself drawn to the dreamy world of pastels in the studio today. There’s just something so magical about the soft blush of a rose and the delicate lilac with its sweet scent—it’s like creating a bouquet for a Jane Austen novel.
For this arrangement, I aimed for a palette that feels like a watercolour painting, but let’s be honest, it also involved a lot of “hmm, does this go here? No, wait—here?” moments. Creativity is messy, people.

Arranging flowers is like storytelling; each bloom has its own role. The roses are the leading characters, with their velvety petals demanding all the attention, while the sweet lilac steps in as the supporting cast—steady, dependable, and smelling better than any candle I own.

This pastel arrangement is perfect for a coffee table centrepiece, a gift for someone special, or simply a little self-love in floral form. (Because yes, you can buy flowers for yourself, and no, it’s not weird.) 🌿
