A New Chapter for Whitelight Events

We have some very exciting news to share with our followers and clients today. Whitelight Events is officially joining the Davis Experience and Events group!

This is a huge milestone for us. Since we started back in 2012, we’ve been lucky enough to work on amazing projects with the National Lottery, Local Enterprise Offices, Fingal County Council, Research Ireland, and many more. Joining the Davis group is the perfect next step to help us grow and provide even more amazing services to our clients.

We are also thrilled to welcome Nikki Tunney as our new Business Director to lead this transition and continue our legacy of first-class service and the hands-on approach our clients have always enjoyed.

Whitelight operations are relocating to the Davis HQ at Redmond’s Hill, Dublin 2, where we’ll continue to build on our success in a collaborative, high-energy environment.

We’ve respected Paul Davis and his team for a long time, and we’re so excited that this collaboration will combine our expertise to create even more unforgettable events.

Thank you for your continued support! 🤝

Great advice ahead of Storm Ashley this weekend

Met Éireann has issued a Status Yellow weather warning for Ahead of Storm Ashley. Fingal County council would like to remind the public to take note of the following points over the weekend to stay safe:

• Avoid High Seas: The public are advised to stay away from coastal areas during this period. The Irish Coast Guard are appealing to people to “Stay Back, Stay High, Stay Dry”.

• Dangerous travelling conditions: Road users should pay particular attention to the risk posed by fallen trees and flying debris as trees are in full leaf.

• Tidal flooding: There is a potential for tidal flooding in coastal areas, especially in Southern and Western counties. In addition to this, heavy persistent showers are expected, which in turn may lead to surface flooding in urban locations.

• Charge all devices: People are advised to prepare for this period of severe weather including ensuring their mobile phone is fully charged to enable communication.

• Flooded roads: Never drive through flooded roads, the depth of the water can be deceiving.

• Monitor weather updates: visit https://www.met.ie/ for the most up to date information. Information is available across social media platforms and other news media sources.

• Fallen cables: ESB Networks is highlighting the dangers posed by fallen live wires and is advising the public and the emergency services to stay away from these fallen cables and to report such cases to it immediately. ESB Emergency Services can be contacted at 1800 372 999. The public can monitor www.PowerCheck.ie. in regards to power restoration times.

Met Éireann, the Irish National Meteorological Service, is the leading provider of weather information and related services for Ireland.

Come on out and be part of it … you’ll enjoy it, we promise. It’s so important to feel part of your community and to know that YOU can make a difference.

Calling all of the Drogheda Tidy Town community!

**We need your help**

As you know from June 21st to 23rd, Drogheda will be celebrating Mid Summer with the .

In true Fleadh style, we invite you to come together with Drogheda Festivals and Drogheda Tidy Towns for **TAKE BACK OUR STREETS ROUND 3**.

Event Details:

Let's make a difference and do something positive for our town. With a bit of scrubbing, sweeping, weeding, litter picking plus a dash of imagination, we can transform our streets. Working together, we'll make it manageable and fun!

Date: Thursday, 20th June
Time: 6 PM
Meeting Point: Outside the Abbey Shopping Centre

Come along, bring a friend, a family member and come help brighten up and showcase the town centre of Drogheda.

How You Can Help:

Bring Anything that might come in handy: sweeping brushes, buckets, mops, old cloths, or anything you think might brighten up the town centre. We have limited equipment so the more you can bring the better!
Don't forget to wear old clothes and gloves!

Areas to Tackle:

Town Centre Locations:Dominick Street, West Street, Scotch Hall, Laurences Street, Peters Street, Shop Street, Dyer Street, Merchants Quay - (Town Centre)

Special Tasks:

Planting Locations:
Planters on Dominick Bridge,
Planters on West Street
Basically giving all the planters a new lease of life across the town.

If only we had one or two extra plants at home in your garden you'd be willing to donate and share! I have a couple of Foxgloves that I think will go well in a planter or two.

Let's Showcase Drogheda!

Think about where you can make the most impact and join us in creating a cleaner, more beautiful and welcoming Drogheda for all of us who love our town!

Spread the Word:

Please share this post to get the word out. Last time felt like a party and we had great craic—let's do it again! Sure we can always pop up for a beverage after all our well hard earned work.

I hope to see you there!

Ps: Volunteers needed for trimming grass bank edging from McDonald's to Dominick Bridge, Ballsgrove Hill to Dominick Bridge
