For the first time in its 46-year history, the Irish Poker Open, owned by Paul O’Reilly and JP McCann, took the legendary Irish Open brand beyond Dublin and onto the international stage.

With stops planned across the world, including Sydney, Marrakesh and the US, the goal is clear: bring the Irish Poker Open experience to a whole new audience and introduce poker players everywhere to the legendary Craic Den.

And what better place to start than Sydney, Australia?

The first-ever international Irish Poker Open stop certainly did not disappoint. Australian players brought their famous good craic to the tables, mixed with Irish players and a host of nationalities from around the world, creating the perfect ingredients for an unforgettable live poker event.

Now, we're looking back at the Irish Open Sydney experience, the players, the action, the atmosphere, and of course, plenty of craic along the way.

The Irish Open in Sydney is nothing short of good craic so far! The tournaments are flowing well, people are having fun at the tables, while the competition is still quite fierce!

While Liam Jehu won the first-ever The Hendon Mob Championship in Australia, it was Pranav Bhatt who took down the first-ever Sviten Special Championship held in Australia!
