✅ 5,400 players.
✅ 70+ countries.
✅ Two unbelievable weeks of poker and pure craic. 🍀

From Norway to Trinidad & Tobago, Malta to Malaysia, everyone somehow ended up in Dublin chasing trophies, stories and late-night pints.

That’s the magic of the Irish Open, it feels less like a tournament series and more like the world’s biggest poker reunion.

What an event. 🇮🇪♥️

This year’s Irish Open was an edition that cracked the code in so many different ways. One of them was the presence of several nationalities that you did not see too often in previous events.

Cenk Niğbolu from Turkey managed to bag the trophy in the Liam Flood tournament, good for €19,460. A massive milestone, and perhaps the beginning of something beautiful, as the number of players from Turkey was truly epic this year.

Dara O'kearney is even about to launch a special edition of his Simplify Poker courses just for Turkish players, which confirms that Turkish players are making moves in recent times.

Check out this amazing article below, where Cenk Niğbolu looks back on his time at the Irish Open and talks about poker in Turkey.

Cenk Niğbolu made history at this year’s Irish Open when he became the first ever Turkish champion after taking down the Liam Flood Memorial turbo on the very last day of the festival.   Cenk beat a 427-entry field in the popular event and won €19,460 after cutting a three-way deal with Latvia...

Sharing interesting news topics isn't just about players who won tournaments, or who have done a lot for the poker community, or for the Irish Poker Open in the past, but it certainly is also about players that did astonishing things at the poker tables.. without winning a tournament!

With his roots in The Netherlands, he is identifying himself as Norwegian, Tobias Napel, and he went on an absolute heater at the Irish Open. Nine cashes in 12 days. Yeah… you read that right.

From mystery bounties to mixed games, from deep runs to a final table finish, he was everywhere. Total haul? €17,170 and a brand new record for most cashes in a single Irish Open.

Most people visit Dublin for the craic. Tobias came for the cashes.

Respect the hustle 👏

Norwegian player Tobias Napel achieved an extraordinary record at this year’s Irish Open – by cashing in nine different tournaments across the 12-day festival.   Napel’s astounding feat – nearly a cash per day – would almost certainly not have been possible in previous editions of the Iri...
