There’s something so romantic about a lace veil.

I think a veil can completely change the look of a wedding dress, sometimes in the most subtle way.

I also love the idea of beautiful bridal pieces being worn and enjoyed more than once rather than being packed away after one day.

This lace veil was part of my bridal rental collection and it’s a lovely example of how something can have another chapter in its story.

One of my favourite things about making bespoke bridal pieces is that no two brides are ever quite the same.

I love getting to know what someone has in mind, hearing their ideas and working together to create something that feels right for them.

Sometimes it’s the smallest details that make a piece special and those are often the things I enjoy working on the most.

One of the things I really love about designing Communion dresses is working with the girls themselves.

They often have such definite ideas about what they like and what they don’t like!

I love encouraging them to get involved in the design process, whether that’s bringing along pictures, choosing details or even sketching out their own ideas.

For me, it’s about creating a dress that they feel really happy and comfortable wearing, something that reflects a little bit of their own personality.

I thought I’d share a little bit about how my silk cot sheets came about.

I was originally approached by someone whose little one had very bad eczema. They had been reading about silk and its potential benefits for sensitive skin but were finding it difficult to source silk cot sheets in Ireland.

That conversation was what prompted me to start making them.

I use mulberry silk and although silk needs a little extra care when washing, it actually washes very well.

It’s lovely when something starts with a conversation and ends up becoming a permanent part of my collection.

I’ve always loved working with silk.

It’s one of those fabrics that looks quite simple but there’s something so beautiful about the way it feels, the way it catches the light and the way it moves.

It’s not always the easiest fabric to sew with either! It can be quite slippery and requires a little patience.

But I think that’s part of why I enjoy working with it so much.

I particularly love making silk pillowcases. They’re such a simple item but there’s something lovely about taking an everyday object and making it that little bit more special.

I wanted to share these gorgeous bracelets from my friend’s new business, .

I just think they’re absolutely lovely and they’d make such a nice engagement present. Something a little different from the usual gifts and a lovely keepsake that you can keep adding to as you go through life.

Hi guys,

I’m delighted to be included in this lovely pop-up at Airfield Estate on Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th October.
