🗣️🌍 So many English-only tables tonight… but don't let that fool you!
Another Wednesday, another busy Language Exchange at T.P. Smith’s, with plenty of people coming together to practise languages, meet new people and enjoy an international evening in Dublin.
Tonight we had:
🗣️ Spanish – English ×2
🗣️ French – English
🗣️ Portuguese – English
🗣️ Italian – English
And then… A LOT of English-only tables! 😄
But don't get us wrong — “English only” definitely doesn't mean everyone around the table speaks the same native language!
Throughout the evening we welcomed native speakers of German, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Arabic and many other languages, all using English as the language bringing their tables together. 🌍
And that's exactly what makes these evenings so international.
Some people come specifically to practise Spanish, French, Portuguese or Italian. Others simply want to improve their English. And plenty come because it's a great way to meet people they might never otherwise have crossed paths with in Dublin.
