On International Women’s Day I’m feeling especially grateful for our Flower Fairies who come here each week and are such a part of the fabric of The Flowersmith Studio.
If you look closely as the camera moves through the field, you can just make them out dotted quietly through the flowers, tending and gathering. In many ways they really are fairies in the truest sense, working close to the earth, often unseen, quietly helping bring the field to life.🧚🧚♀️💕🌸
Their love of the flowers, the process and the creating brings such energy here. Their steadiness and care make this work possible.
I’m also thinking of all the women who come to workshops, who choose flowers as gifts, who bring them into their homes, and who love them as much as I do. Often the men in their lives are the ones buying the flowers or gifting the workshops, but it’s the women who inspire those gestures.
Flowers become a conduit for so many messages — love, gratitude, care and celebration — but it’s the women around us here who make that exchange of warmth and energy possible.
And of course I’m grateful for my husband Stephen too, whose quiet support helps make all of this possible. 🌸
